Awwal 16, 1432 H/April 20, 2011, SPA -- A senior official of Toyota Motor Corp. said that it is preparing to halt production in Turkey as part of an eight-day suspension across Europe due to parts shortages, according to AP. Orhan Ozer, the president and CEO of Toyota Motor Manufacturing Turkey Inc. (TMMT) said Wednesday its plant in the western city of Adapazari will halt output between April 21 and May 2 along with four other plants in Britain, France and Poland. Toyota said Wednesday its factories in China will also reduce production due to disruptions in supplies of parts following last month's tsunami and earthquake that devastated parts of Japan.
