Awwal 12, 1432 / April 16, 2011, SPA -- A terrorist act is averted at a petrol station in Dagestan. "In the territory of the Kizilyurt district of the Republic of Dagestan, an act of terrorism has been prevented," National Antiterrorist Committee (NAC) spokesman Nikolai Sintsov told Itar-Tass. "The day before, in the village of Nechayevka of the Kizilyurt district, members of the bandit underground attempted to extort a large sum of money from a local entrepreneur - the owner of one of the petrol stations," he said. "Two bandits, dressed in camouflage uniforms, threatening with submachine guns to a station operator, demanded to say the owner to prepare a large sum of money," the NAC spokesman said. On Saturday, an operator found two objects resembling a homemade explosive device near one of filling units at the station. Specialists of the Federal Security Service's department in Dagestan, who arrived on the scene, defused the bomb, which was equivalent to 3 kg of TNT. The second object turned out to be a simulated bomb.
