Awwal 12, 1432, April 16, 2011, SPA -- Tornados ripped across the Mid-West and South, killing at least nine people including three children, officials said Friday. Worst hit was Arkansas, where late Thursday seven people were killed as trees were uprooted and flung against houses and trailers. The storm laid waste to a corridor across Little Rock, the state capital. On Friday, twisters zapped Mississippi and Alabama, damaging dozens of homes and an oil refinery, DPA reported.
