Awwal 1432 H. / 15 April 2011, SPA -- Tajik security forces killed during an operation in the eastern part of the country an insurgent leader believed to be behind a series of bloody attacks together with 12 of his supporters, Ministry of Interior of Tajikistan announced today. A spokesman of the Ministry said Abdullah Molo /62/ and 12 of his supporters were killed in the operation. He added that security forces were chasing them for more than ten years as Molo was on the hide in Afghanistan in a base belonging to Taliban movement before his return to Tajikistan last year. According to the Interior Ministry statement, the offensive was launched against a camp of militants who were behind an ambush of a military convoy in September 2010 in which 25 people were killed.
