Awwal 10, 1432 / April 14, 2011, SPA -- A construction crew in Poland uncovered a German bunker from World War II during work on a new tram line in central Warsaw, local media reported Thursday, according to dpa. The bunker, discovered at the capitol's central Savior's Square, will be removed and taken to a museum, officials said. The structure was one of several dozen built in the capital after the 1944 Warsaw Uprising against Nazi Germany. It was built by Germans to defend themselves from the advancing Soviet Red Army. A similar bunker was found in 2004 during the construction of a skyscraper in central Warsaw. That bunker was later transported to the Warsaw Rising Museum.
