Awwal 07, 1432 / April 11, 2011, SPA -- Republican Mitt Romney is forming a U.S. presidential exploratory committee, according to AP. The former Massachusetts governor on Monday announced he would take the first step toward a White House run in a message posted online that focused largely on the nation's economic woes under President Barack Obama. Romney came up short when he sought the Republican nomination in 2008 and is widely expected to enter the 2012 race. One of his problems is explaining away his having instituted a statewide health insurance plan much like the one Obama pushed through Congress last year and that Republicans are vowing to kill.
