Awwal 06, 1432, April 10, 2011, SPA -- Police say seven suspected militants were killed in an overnight clash with security forces in a northwest valley. The suspects were believed to have been fleeing a Pakistani army operation in Mohmand, a tribal region bordering Afghanistan, the Associated Press reported. Two soldiers were wounded in the clash Sunday in the Sardam area of the Swat Valley, which occurred after residents alerted authorities to the militants whereabouts. Police official Sher Alam says the alleged insurgents are believed to originally hail from Swat.
