Awwal 04, 1432 H / April 08, 2011, SPA -- Lebanon's Premier designate Najeeb Miqati received in Beirut today Abdullah bin Ahmed Zenal, Minister of Commerce and Industry of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the accompanying delegation who are taking part in the 6th Saudi Lebanese Forum, currently ongoing in Beirut. Senior officials in the two sides attended the meeting. During the meeting, they exchanged cordial talks and discussed issues related to the economic affair and reviewed cooperation between the two countries and the latest developments at the Lebanese arenas. Following the meeting, Miqati lauded the fraternal and firm relations between the two countries and the amicability the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdallah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud holds in his heart for Lebanon, citing his initiatives and assistance Lebanon. Saudi Arabia was and will remain Lebanon's elder brother who continuously offers unconditioned support and help for his younger brother, Miqati said, adding that Saudi Arabia was and still the safety valve at the Arab, Islamic and international arenas. He said Saudi Arabia is able to work out the appropriate conciliatory solutions to the region's problems. For his part, Zenal wished Miqati every success in forming Lebanon's new government.
