Religious Leader Killed in Kashmir Blast

Awwal 04, 1432 H / April 08, 2011, SPA -- A prominent religious leader was killed by a bomb Friday as he was entering a mosque in Srinagar, the capital of India's Jammu and Kashmir state, news reports said.
According to dpa, Molvi Showkat Ahmad Shah of the Islamist organization Jamait-e-Ahlehadis was entering the Ahlehadis mosque for Friday prayers when the bomb went off, IANS news agency reported, citing police.
The leader was taken to a local hospital where he was declared dead, the police added.
An injured person was in critical condition.
