Awwal 02, 1432 H/April 6, 2011, SPA -- Minister of Culture and Information of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja, currently on a visit to Azerbaijan to take part in the International Forum for Dialogue among Cultures, confirmed that the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for dialogue started to push its way to the world community, intellectuals and dialogue salons everywhere. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency on the sidelines of the forum which began deliberations here today, Dr. Khoja said the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques was a forerunner when he applied the idea first among Islamic thinkers who were hosted in Makkah regardless of their religious differences, thinking or sect. This was followed by a series of dialogues among followers of religion gatherings. He reminded that Madrid conference was an important station in this march followed by New York conference. Dr. Khoja said today's meeting is very important as the world now apprehends that the only way for co-existence and living in peace is through dialogue. He said Baku conference builds on the same notion of dialogue among cultures, noting that the UNESCO, ISESCO and a number of thinkers and authors from different parts of the world will attend the event.
