Awwal 01, 1432 H/April 05, 2011, SPA -- An American soldier has died in what a U.S. military statement is calling a non-hostile incident in northern Iraq, according to AP. The death Tuesday marks the fifth U.S. soldier to die in Iraq over the last four days. Of the five, two were killed by enemy rocket fire and the other three died in non-combat incidents. The military statement Tuesday provided no details and withheld the soldier's name pending notification of next of kin. The death raises to at least 4,446 the number of U.S. military personnel who have died in Iraq since the war began in March 2003. That's according to an Associated Press count.
