Akhir 29, 1432, April 03, 2011, SPA -- Voters turn out was heavy Sunday for Presidential election in Kazakhstan. More than 76 percent of the country's 9 million eligible voters casted their ballot by late afternoon, the turnout easily surpassed the 50 percent minimum required. Preliminary results are to be announced Monday, and some estimate that President Nursultan Nazarbayev may get over 90 percent of the vote, according to a report of the Associated Press. Nazarbayev's term was to have ended in 2012, but in January he called the early election after a proposal to cancel the next two elections was ruled unconstitutional.
