Akhir 28, 1432, April 02, 2011, SPA -- At least two suicide bombers attacked a US military base on the eastern outskirts of Kabul city with rocket propelled grenades and small arms fire Saturday morning, official said. Three bombers disguised in women clothes tried to enter Camp Phoenix, a US military base on Jalalabad road, but were stopped by security personnel, Mohammad Zahir, head of Kabul's criminal investigative department, said. Two militants were killed and two others detonated their explosives, he was quoted as saying by DPA. Major Tim James, a spokesman for NATO-led International Security Assistance Force, said that two militants attacked the base with rocket-propelled grenades and small arms fire, injuring three soldiers.
