Akhir 24, 1432 H/March 29, 2011, SPA -- Finnish mobile phone giant Nokia Tuesday said it had filed a new complaint against Apple for allegedly violating several patents used in the rival company's computers as well as iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices, according to dpa. The complaint was filed with the US International Trade Commission (ITC), which on Friday rejected a previous complaint by Nokia. But the Finnish group said it was "waiting to see the full details of the ruling" before deciding on its next move. Nokia said the new complaint centred on seven patents used for instance for multi-tasking operating systems as well as data synchronization. "Our latest ITC filing means we now have 46 Nokia patents in suit against Apple, many filed more than 10 years before Apple made its first iPhone," Paul Melin, vice president of intellectual property at Nokia, said in a statement. The Finnish mobile phone company has earlier filed suits in Delaware in the United States, British High Court, Duesseldorf and Mannheim district courts in Germany, and the district court of The Hague. Nokia has in recent years experienced increasing competition in the smartphone business from the likes of Apple, and has also been sued by Apple in the United States.
