"I think the coming committee meeting, due in Baghdad, will be more important for solving the essential issues although the just-ended meeting is one of the most important meetings between the two sides since the ouster of the former Iraqi regime," he said. "We have discussed Iraq's commitments to the UNSC resolution 833 relating to the sovereignty and safety of Kuwait and the freedom of navigation at the maritime corridors as well as the compensations for farmers," he added. The Iraqi minister noted that his delegation felt a sincere desire on the part of Kuwait to help his country get rid of the UN-imposed sanctions.
