Akhir 23, 1432 / March 28, 2011, SPA -- The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud chaired the Cabinet session held at Al-Yamamah Palace here today. At the outset of the session, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques welcomed the joining of the Minister of Housing Dr. Shwaish bin Saud Al-Dhuwaihi to the Cabinet wishing him all success. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques stressed the importance of the responsibilities, jurisdictions and duties of the Ministry of Housing that aim at providing citizens with housing. The Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques briefed the Cabinet on the messages he sent to President Dmitiry Medvedev of Russia, Prime Minister Mohamed Najib bin Abdulrazak of Malaysia, and Chairman of Egyptian Supreme Council of the Armed Forces Field Marshall Mohammed Hussein Tantawi. The King also briefed the Cabinet on the telephone calls made to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, President Michel Sulayman of Lebanon and President Bashar Al-Assad of Syria. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the session, the Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja said the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques stressed that the messages to and contacts with a number of leaders of brotherly and friendly countries come in the framework of bolstering bilateral relations, enhancing cooperation in all fields and discussing the developments at regional and international arenas. --More
