Akhir 21, 1432, March 26, 2011, SPA -- U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner will visit China next week, joining a meeting of Group of Twenty (G20) officials to discuss the global monetary system, the Treasury Department said Friday. Geithner will attend a conference of finance ministers, central bankers, and other officials from G20 members in the eastern city of Nanjing. The group will "discuss reforms to the international monetary system and the importance of the G20 maintaining its focus on supporting a sustainable global recovery," the Treasury said. Geithner also will meet his Chinese counterparts to "discuss the global outlook and the economic relationship between the two countries in advance of the 2011 U.S.-China strategic and economic dialogue," the department said.
