Akhir 16, 1432 / March 21, 2011, SPA -- Daimler, the world's biggest maker of commercial vehicles, said Monday its Japanese unit Fuso would resume production this week after being stopped by earthquake damage, dpa reported. "We are assuming we will be producing again on Thursday," a spokesman for the German company said in Stuttgart. However, the final go-ahead would only be given just before the repaired production line began to move. Daimler has a workforce in Japan of 13,000, most at Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC).
