Separation Surgery of Conjoined Algerian Twins Starts

Akhir 12, 1432 / March 17, 2011, SPA -- The separation surgery of conjoined Algerian twins (Sarah and Ekram) started here today at King Abdulaziz Medical City (KAMC) in accordance with the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to carry out the surgery at his own expense.
The separation surgery is expected to take 12 hours through 9 phases.
