Akhir 11, 1432, March 16, 2011, SPA-- The Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the British Foreign and Commonwealth Office Alistair Burt met here on Tuesday with a delegation of Saudi-British Parliamentary Friendship Committee of Majlis Al-Shura headed by the Committee's Chairman Eng. Abdulrahman Bin Ahmad Al-Yami currently visiting Britain. During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom in various fields and ways of enhancing them particularly in political, economic, trade, education and health fields. The meeting was attended by Acting Chargé D'affaires of the Saudi Embassy to the United Kingdom Abdulrahman Al- Suhaibani. The Shura delegation has also met with a number of officials at the Department of Counter-Terrorism at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and discussed with them ways of strengthening international cooperation to combat terrorism and dry up its funding sources. The delegation also has visited the British Parliament and met with Saudi-British Parliamentary Friendship Committee of the House of Commons. They discussed ways of strengthening Saudi-British relations in various fields, particularly in the parliamentary spheres. The meeting was attended by Prince Sultan Ibn Fahd Ibn Abdullah, Head of Political Affairs Section at the Saudi Embassy.
