Akhir 07, 1432, March 12, 2011, SPA -- The Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Dr. Ziad Al-Drees commended the results of the High Panel on Peace and Dialogue Among Cultures, which was held under the auspices of UNESCO at the United Nations headquarters in New York on Saturday. He pointed out that the Council's members, comprising prominent world figures, have expressed their great appreciation for the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud for the dialogue between cultures, followers of religions, and its role in promoting the culture of peace and tolerance at wide-scale levels. Al-Drees noted that the Kingdom's participation in the meeting and the speech addressed at the Panel by Prince Turki Al-Faisal, confirmed the roles of international organizations such as the United Nations and UNESCO in activating the dialogue between civilizations and in achieving its desired goals.
