ILO director to visit Egypt on Friday

Akhir 1432 H. / March 10, 2011 -- The head of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Juan Somavia will travel to Egypt on Friday to examine the labour and social situation, the ILO said in a statement Thursday, according to dpa.
The United Nations agency said Somavia's two-day visit was aimed
at assessing how "to provide support and assistance during the
transitional period and beyond."
"The ILO stands ready to assist Egypt and its people with all the
expertise available," according to the statement.
