Akhir 04, 1432 / March 09, 2011, SPA -- Prince Saud Al-Faisal, Minister of Foreign Affairs, stressed the Kingdom's absolute rejection of any interference in its internal affairs whatever the form and source of such interference; and of any question about the keenness of the Kingdom's leadership on the interests of the country and its citizens as well as the respect of their rights. Prince Saud also emphasized the Kingdom's absolute refusal of any infringement on the Islamic principles and values on which the Kingdom's laws and regulations are based, including the regulations that establish the principles of civil society and aim at protecting the society and maintaining its security, stability and integrity against sedition. Such issues are provided for by the teachings of Islamic Law (Sharia) and confirmed by the statements issued by the Senior Scholars Commission and the Grand Mufti of the Kingdom. This came during a press conference Prince Saud Al-Faisal held today at the Branch of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Makkah Region. "These statements stressed the necessity to stand by the interests of society, and emphasized that reform and advice can not be made through demonstrations and means that raise sedition and cause disunity. These statements forbade demonstrations that violate the applicable regulations which are based on the Holy Quran and the teachings of the Prophet. I hope that this stance is clear," Prince Saud added. --More
