Akhir 01, 1432 H/March 6, 2011, SPA -- Several thousand Croatians have marched in the capital demanding the government resign amid a financial crisis in what have become almost daily protests in the country hoping to soon join the European Union, AP reported. Croatian TV said that around 3,000 people have been blocked by police from reaching a government building in downtown Zagreb. The protesters marched to the ruling Croatian Democratic Union headquarters instead. No incidents were reported during Sunday's protest. Last weekend, hundreds clashes with police, leaving 25 people injured and nearly 60 were detained. Similar protests were held in several Croatian towns Saturday. The government has warned demonstrations will undermine Croatia's EU bid.
