Awwal 25, 1432, Feb 28, 2011, SPA -- Mayor of Berlin Klaus Wowereit has announced that 130 scholarships will be granted by German universities and institutions to the employees of the Saudi Health Ministry in various medical specialties. The Mayor made this disclosure during a meeting here yesterday with Minister of Health Dr. Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabeeah and senior officials of the ministry. The Mayor and members of his accompanying delegation are currently on an official visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the meeting, Klaus Wowereit expressed the strong desire to strengthen relations between German universities and medical companies with the Ministry of Health in the Kingdom. The meeting also dealt with prospects of providing training opportunities and scholarships, and highlighted the German side's readiness to facilitate visits of German physicians to Saudi Arabia, development of an e-Health program in the Saudi Health Ministry and bolstering cooperation in the operation of hospitals, the exchange of experiences and medical research and bilateral cooperation within this framework.
