Awwal 18, 1432 H/Feb 21, 2011, SPA-- Presided over by its Speaker Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Al-Sheikh, Shoura Council discussed here today a draft act of maritime zones of Saudi Arabia. Following the session, Shoura Council Secretary General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al-Ghamdi said Shoura Council has received a report in this regard from its subcommittee on security affairs. The draft act aims at demarking the parameters of the Kingdom's maritime zones, maintaining their safety, security and organizing transit of ships through them, he added. This draft act falls in line with other agreements signed by the Kingdom and other neighboring countries on territorial waters, Dr. Al-Ghamdi concluded. -- SPA
