Prince Khalid Al-Faisal to Patronize Jeddah International Real Estate Exhibition

Awwal 17, 1432, Feb 20, 2011, SPA-- Prince Khalid Al-Faisal, Governor of Makkah Province will patronize here on March 12-16, Jeddah International 9th Exhibition of Real Estate, Financing and Housing to be organized by Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Principality in Jeddah.
In a statement here today, the Chairman of Organizing Committee of the Exhibition Ahmed Al-Muhandis said that Saudi real estate sector achieved a growth of the capital exceeding 40% over the past five years, noting that the contribution of the real estate and construction sector to Saudi Gross Domestic Product (GDP) increased from SR 41.7 billion in 2000 to more from SR 54.5 billion.
As for the great real estate and construction projects around the Holy Mosque in Makkah and the Central Area for the time being, Al-Muhandis said that recent estimates indicate that the volume of investment in Makkah rose to SR 750 billion.
