Awwal 13, Feb 16, 2011, SPA -- Brazilian presidential palace said today that U.S. President Barack Obama will start a two-day official visit to Brazil on March 19. The visit is aimed at forging closer links between the biggest economies after Dilma Rousseff was elected as the first female president of Brazil. The U.S. and Brazil had strained relations during the era of the former Brazilian President, Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva because of trade disputes. U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Franz Geithner met last week with government officials in Brazil before the meeting of the Group of Twenty finance ministers in Paris this weekend.
