Awwal 11, 1432, Feb 14, 2011, SPA -- Pakistani Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani left here on Sunday for Kuwait on a two-day official visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries. In a press statement, prior to his departure from Islamabad Airport, he said Pakistan attaches great importance to its friendly relations with Kuwait, pointing out that his visit will further enhance the economic and political ties between the two countries. He disclosed that Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari will also visit Kuwait before the end of this month to attend national celebrations marking fifty years of independence. Pakistani Foreign Ministry sources in Islamabad said that Gilani will meet with Kuwaiti officials during the visit, led by Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Emir of Kuwait and Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, the Crown Prince. Gilani is accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising a number of Ministers and Ministers of State.
