Awwal 10, 1432, Feb 13, 2011, SPA-- Iranian state TV reports that Turkey's president has arrived in Iran with a large delegation of businessmen to boost bilateral ties, according to AP. Abdullah Gul's official visit will begin on Monday after a ceremony in which his Iranian counterpart, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, will receive him. Regional and international issues are on agenda of the talks between the two sides, said Sunday's report. Some 260 Turkish businessmen, officials and reporters are accompanying Gul on the visit. Balance of trade between the two countries is about $10 billion and two sides have repeatedly vowed to increase it to some $30 billion in next five years. Under Turkey's Islamist-leaning government, ties with Iran have improved dramatically.
