Awwal 08, 1432, Feb 11, 2011, SPA -- The monster cyclone that ravaged Australia's north-east coast last week also upset the 12 saltwater crocodiles at Townsville's Billabong Sanctuary wildlife park, a news report said Friday, according to dpa. "They stayed underwater for some time and didn't even surface for food," proprietor Bob Fleming said, recounting the events that followed the giant storm which hit February 4. "They were traumatized for a couple of days," Flemming told Australia's AAP news agency. Flemming said none of the sanctuary's animals were lost to the cyclone, the largest ever recorded in Australia. "Lots of trees came down on the aviary and some birds, including wedgetail eagles, flew away but they have since returned home," he said.
