Awwal 04, 1432 H/Feb 07, 2011, SPA -- Four children died in a fire at Roma camp in the Italian capital, officials said Monday, an incident that has revived a debate over the conditions of their housing, AP reported. The three boys and a girl, aged between 3 and 11, were siblings of Romanian nationality, Rome police said Monday. They died in their sleep, police said. The blaze might have originated from a fire that had been started to warm up the building. Rome Mayor Gianni Alemanno called the deaths a «terrible tragedy.» There are about 7,000 Roma in the Italian capital, according to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, almost half of them minors. -- SPA
