Awwal 02, 1432, Feb 05, 2011, SPA -- The visiting Yemen's Foreign Minister Abu Bakr Al-Qirbi has met at the EU headquarters in Brussels with the Commissioner for Development in the European Union Andris Piebalgs. During the meeting, they reviewed aspects of cooperation and the bilateral relations between Yemen and the EU, particularly in fields of economy, development and security as well as the EU's role to support Yemen to meet many challenges and implement its fourth five-year plan. The Yemeni Foreign Minister briefed Piebalgs on his country's efforts to implement its reform agenda and in the fight against terrorism as well as the need for an integrated economic and security plan to deal with terrorism. He also underlined the need to tackle unemployment, raise living standards and improve services provided to citizens, according to a report of Yemen's news agency "SABA".
