Awwal 01, 1432, Feb 04, 2011, SPA -- The astronaut husband of a US congresswoman shot in Arizona last month has resumed his command of a space shuttle flight due to launch in April, the space agency NASA said Friday. Astronaut Mark Kelly had been on leave since January 8, when his wife Gabrielle Giffords was shot in the head by a gunman outside of a supermarket in Tucson, Arizona. She was gravely wounded but survived and is being treated at a rehabilitation centre in Houston. NASA had been training a replacement commander, but in a statement said Kelly had decided to resume training for the mission on Monday and was ready to lead the shuttle Endeavour on its final flight into space.
