Moderate tremor jolts Bangladesh

Awwal 01, 1432, Feb 04, 2011, SPA -- A 6.4 magnitude earthquake jolted Bangladesh Friday, sending people running out of their homes in panic, but causing no casualties, dpa quoted officials as saying.
The tremor was felt for few seconds at 7.56 pm (1356 GMT) all over
the country, said meteorologists in the capital, Dhaka.
The epicentre of the tremor was in Imphal, capital of Indian state
of Monipur, 455 kilometres north-east of Dhaka, according to United
States Geological Survey.
