Najib Abdulrazzaq, Prime Minister of Malaysia, today extended the thanks of the government and people of Malaysia to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and his Crown Prince for allowing the Malaysian government to use Saudi airspace to lift Malaysian students stranded in Egypt. Najib also expressed appreciation of the Malaysian Hajj Foundation in Jeddah for its preparedness to offer shelter and accommodation to Malaysian students on their way home. Some 600 Malaysian students are scheduled to leave Egypt for Malaysia aboard two flights per day.
