Palestinians ask Quartet to recognize Palestinian state

Palestinian officials Wednesday called on the Middle East Quartet - the United States, Russia, United Nations and
European Union - to recognize the 1967 borders of the future
Palestinian state, according to dpa.
The Quartet has "an historic opportunity" to recognize the
Palestinian state on the 1967 borders with East Al-Quds as its
capital, chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erekat told Voice of
Palestine Radio.
