The 1st Event in Asia of The Cooperation Council for The Arab States of The Gulf (GCC) will be launched in Seoul, South Korea on February 10, 2011. The GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Atiyyah pointed out that holding such events in Asia aims to deepen relations, increase communications, exchange experiences, promote dialogue among civilizations and cultures, develop mutual understanding, promote a culture of peace, and to achieve prosperity and economic growth between the GCC states and their peoples and the states and friendly peoples of Asia. The GCC is comprised of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
