Prince Naif Ibn Abdulaziz Al Saud, Second Deputy Premier and Minister of Interior stressed that the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has given a great and equal attention to all its provinces, cities and villages, noting that what has happened in Jeddah resulting from heavy rainfall recently has been larger than downpours in other parts of the Kingdom. In a press conference held here on Tuesday evening after presiding over a meeting of the Ministerial Committee concerned with the implementation of the directives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz and the Deputy King to address the situation in Jeddah Governorate after the recent heavy rains, Prince Naif said, " Jeddah must be given the greatest attention in view of its population and heavy rains and floods that have inflicted damages on citizens and made them leave their homes. The State has provided them with housing and subsistence." In reply to a question on the date of announcement of the trial of those involved in the problems of floods in Jeddah, Prince Naif said that as for those convicted of what happened in the past, Saudi Commission for Investigation and Prosecution has taken over this matter and referred it to the judiciary, and as for the other people, investigation will be completed with them and they will be referred to the judiciary, adding, "Names will be announced upon the issuance of sentences and this will be applied to this case". --MORE
