Singapore budget carrier Tiger Airways Holdings Ltd on Friday posted a jump in quarterly profit on the back of rising passenger volumes as well as higher average fares, according to dpa. Net profit for the three months through December reached 22.6 million Singapore dollars (17.65 million US dollars), up from 14.1 million Singapore dollars a year earlier, the listed airline said. Revenue for the quarter grew 22.2 per cent year-on-year to 170.4 million Singapore dollars, said the company, which is partly owned by Singapore Airlines.
