Sheikh, Egypt, Safar 15, 1432, Jan 19, 2011, SPA -- Arab leaders, who concluded an economic, developmental and social summit here today, accepted Saudi Arabia's bid to host the next economic summit in January 2013. They welcomed the practical steps taken in the Arab railway network project, positive steps on the power grid, the practical steps to implement education development plan 2009-2010, the strategic preliminary health care strategy 2011-2016, and the Arab strategy to reduce poverty rate in the Arab world. They appropriated $27 billion for phase I of the Arab food security program 2011-2016, and reiterated their determination to proceed with the millennium developmental objectives. The leaders decided to change the name of the summit to become the Economic developmental and Social Arab Summit.
