A group of U.S. Senators said on Monday that the time has come for congressional action on China's currency policy - one day before Chinese President Hu Jintao is expected to arrive in Washington. Democratic Senator Charles Schumer from New York said that Beijing's currency practices give Chinese companies an unfair trade advantage. The Chinese President will arrive in Washington on Tuesday for a state visit during which he will meet President Barack Obama and a number of senior members of Congress. Schumer and many other lawmakers have complained for years about China's currency practices.
