Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki held official talks here today with Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Nasser Al-Mohammad Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. Following the talks, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah held a joint press conference with Iraqi Foreign Minister Hoshyar Zebari. Zebari said during the press conference that Al-Maliki agreed with Sheikh Nasser to form a higher ministerial committee to discuss the outstanding issues between the two countries in accordance with the resolutions of international legitimacy. Zebari stressed that Iraq was adherent to all its commitments pertinent to the relationship with Kuwait. For his part, Dr. Mohammad said that the two countries agreed to hold periodic meetings at the highest levels to discuss the shared files between them. Sheikh Mohammed also welcomed the resolutions relating to Iraq which marks its exit from Chapter VII.
