Yemen will participate in the 2nd Congress of World Conference on Constitutional Justice, scheduled to take place in Rio de Janeiro on January 15-17. Head of the Supreme Judicial Council and head of the Supreme Court Essam al- Samawi is leading a Yemeni delegation to the Congress, which will focus on several topics including the judicial independence and constitutional courts. The Congress will also provide the participating Arab countries with the opportunity to exchange and learn from expertise of other countries, said Al- Samawi in a statement, prior to his departure from Sanaa to Brasilia. The Congress will be organized by the Federal Supreme Court of Brazil in cooperation with the first Congress of the World Conference on Constitutional Justice, the Venice Commission and the Union of Arab Constitutional Courts and Councils, Al-Samawi said.
