Under the patronage of Minister of Health, Dr. Abdullah Al-Rabiah, the 2nd Medical Conference for Home Health Care organized by The National Home Health Care Foundation of the Western Province, started its activities here today in the presence of Princess Adelah bint Abdullah Ibn Abdulaziz, the Foundation's President. Addressing the Conference, Princess Adelah pointed out that the Conference aims to promote developmental trends for all services provided for citizens and to emphasize the importance of partnership between the health sector and health charitable institutions. The Princess noted that the recommendations of the previous Conference have been implemented through the adoption of health home care as a health strategy by specialized health authorities, indicating that a national committee has been formed from members of all sectors of health and health care charities to activate and ensure the quality of home health care services. In Dr. Al-Rabiah's speech, which was delivered on his behalf by Deputy of Ministry of Health for Planning and Development Dr. Mohammed Khushaim, he emphasized the importance of the Conference, which seeks to develop the services of home health care, to expand social services being provided to patients, and to ensure application of quality criteria to home health care. As many as 600 experts and researchers from the private and public sectors will take part in the two-day Conference, which will be addressed by 17 speakers from the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and abroad.
