National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) spotted the smallest planet outside the earth's solar system using the Kepler space telescope, the U.S. space agency said on Monday. The planet, named Kepler-10b, is about 1.4 times the size of the Earth and spins around its star more than once a day, an orbit too close for life to survive, NASA said in statement. The new planet has a mass 4.6 times that of the Earth and an average density of 8.8 grams per cubic centimeter, NASA said.
