Dutch authorities are warning people living near the site of a massive chemical blaze not to eat garden vegetables or let their children into soot-sprinkled playgrounds, AP reported. They insist no dangerous fumes were released from the giant plume of smoke over the southern Netherlands and say avoiding contact with soot is a precaution while it is being analyzed for potential health hazards. Firefighters were still dousing the last of the flames Thursday at Chemie-Pack Nederland BV's charred storage and packing facility in Moerdijk, nearly 24 hours after the spectacular inferno started. Nobody was injured in the blaze, which could be seen from many miles (kilometers) away. -- SPA
