Two people were killed and three injured when a truck crane collapsed at the intersection of two roads in east China's Shandong Province Wednesday afternoon. The accident happened at around 1:52 p.m. when workers were assembling the crane at the intersection of Jinsi and Yimeng roads in Linyi City, Xinhua quoted a city government spokesman as saying. Witness said the crane broke apart and fell on passing cars, injuring the cars' occupants. One person died at the scene while the other died in hospital. The injured are being treated in hospital and are in stable conditions. It is not yet known how many of the casualties were workers assembling the crane and how many were passersby. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
