An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter Scale hit Wuqia County, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 9:56 a.m. Saturday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center. The epicenter was monitored at 39.4 degrees north latitude and 75.2 degrees east longitude with a depth of about 10 kilometers, Xinhua quoted the center as saying. No reports of casualties were available.
