Two people were killed when a hot-air balloon crashed into a bowling green in western England Saturday. The balloon came down on the green at the Prattens Bowls Club, in the village of Midsomer Norton, Somerset, The Daily Telegraph reported, and emergency services were alerted at 9:47 a.m. Witnesses reported seeing the balloon burst into flames as it hit the ground. "A hot-air balloon crashed with two fatalities, a man and a woman," UPI quoted a spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police as saying. "No other aircraft and no one on the ground was involved in the incident." There were unconfirmed reports of a third person being killed. The Air Accidents Investigation Branch said it is sending experts to the scene.
